Classes
Learn to integrate poses with breath, find peace and stillness in the mind and practice simple meditation methods. You will start to notice subtle shifts to becoming fully present in your life. Situations seems easier to deal with, you find more compassion, more patience and more self acceptance. Some practices are more internalizing while others achieve a higher sense of awareness, self trust and self confidence. Each practice ends with a guided relaxation.
Our range of motion is lost over time, due to injury, day to day activities, weight training, cross-fit, bike riding, the list goes on. The purpose of this class is to s-t-r-e-t-c-h. These deep passive stretches are held for a long period of time, 2-5 minutes to be precise, with the intention to bring students back to their "basic range of motion" BROM. Muscles and joints are hydrated with the longer holds, we improve our flexibility and posture, all leading to increased performance in our day-to-day activities. The body feels more vibrant and energized to become the best version of you.
The mind is a strong element of human existence; without it we could not navigate through life. But like anything, it needs a rest and sometimes we need to have peace and quiet from distractions and our thoughts. Meditation allows our intuitive side to show up, helping guide us in decision-making, creating inner peace, helping us see the path ahead clearly and leading us to a life full of purpose and joy. Each month I introduce you to a new meditation that derives from the training I have received in the Himalayan yoga lineage. We practice the same meditation for the month to build familiarity.
