Does your mind tend to be all over the map? Do you find yourself filled with doubt, fears, sorrow and grief?

These feelings sends our nervous system out of balance and it can result in  anger, sadness, irritability, and holds us back form our limitless potential, disrupts sleep and so on.

What if when we go beyond our fears, our doubts our sorrows, the door opens! It opens to the infinite possibilities inside us, our limitless potential.  And even if we are not looking toward achieving a lofty goal, ultimately we want to show up in our life happy and understanding and compassionate.

We want to be that person that says “I want what she’s having”… you just become a better person all around you show up with light and energy and happiness and love.

The Good News!
Mind is the master of our bodies and how we show up in our world for others and for ourselves will ultimately be influenced by the tendencies of our mind so if the mind is scattered and all over the place then that is what we will project into the world.

Think about your actions with a mind that is clear and happy and rested free from doubt suffering and pain!

Working with Vishoka Meditation
In working towards the full practice of Vishoka meditation, we first need to work on the most important principle of the practice: Uniting the breath with mind and, mind with breath.

In our first class we covered 4 realizations of the Sages:
  • The mind has limitless power!  The greater mastery we have over our mind the greater mastery we have over our surroundings (infinite power of mind).
  • Everything we need to succeed is provided in this world.
  • Mind is the master of our body it is the conduit through which we experience the world.
  • Despite all of the nature has provided, we seem to be struggling.

This week select at least 3 days that you will work on uniting breath with mind.

Do 3 minutes breathing in crocodile pose.
Do 5 minutes of sandbag breathing.
Sit for a further 2-5 minutes and watch your breath at the nostrils.

If time permits you could also add a few poses that interlink breath and movement such as standing and just doing simple arm raises inhaling as the arms raises up and exhaling as the arms comes down.  Cat and cow is another easy sequence to unite breath and mind!

I am enjoying my meditations so much and can’t wait for you guys to also enjoy this incredible journey!
